MOPA color marking
Permanent color marking on stainless steel and titanium, qualified per batch and documented for repeatability.
How the process works
A MOPA source allows pulse width and frequency to be controlled independently, producing a controlled oxide layer on the surface. The thickness of that layer determines the perceived color. No material is added, so the mark cannot chip, fade, or peel.
Applications
- Stainless steel, including 304 and 316 grades
- Titanium, bare or lightly finished
- Flat parts within the working field, or cylindrical parts suitable for rotary marking
- Production runs requiring consistent color across every unit
